Anna Jewel Schluterman is a New York City based artist and photographer. She received a BFA in Photography and Related Media with a minor in Art History at the Fashion Institute of Technology,SUNY in May 2025.
Her photography is influenced by her upbringing in Arkansas, which has given her the unique ability to find the beauty in the mundane. It wasn’t until after she moved out of her hometown, however, that she realized just how special simplicity can be. As she explores her identity in adulthood, 1200 miles from home, she reflects on her memories of childhood as sources for inspiration.
For two years, Anna Jewel held the Co-Director of Photography position for Runway27, the Fashion Institute of Technology’s student-run organization that showcases annual fashion shows. Her project, If You Spray the Garden Hose, You Can Make a Rainbow, was exhibited at the Museum at FIT in 2023, and in 2024 she exhibited Looking Out the Window at Piragua Art Gallery in the Lower East Side. Her most recent project 1,251 Miles was exhibited at Knock Out Cafe in the Lower East Side and the Museum at FIT in 2025.
